Broken or Defective SafeMLS Token? Easy replacement process
If your SafeMLS token breaks or becomes defective, you no longer need to make a trip to your Association to get a replacement. Follow these online steps for a temporary password and to have a replacement mailed to you.
· Click the “I Lost or Broke My Token” link on the NorthstarMLS login screen.
· Click the “My Authenticator is Broken” button and follow the on screen prompts.
· After completing the online form, a temporary password will immediately be emailed to you (using the email address you have on NorthstarMLS). The temporary password will get you into all NorthstarMLS systems for 10 days. Within one business day, a replacement token will be mailed to your office address (a toll-free number will be provided for you to call within 24 hours if you want the token mailed to a different address.) /
How do I Register My Token? Remember, even if you have already picked up your token, you must first register it before you can logon to northstarmls.com. If you have picked up your token, but not registered it yet, click here to begin the registration process.
Forgot your PIN #? If you forget your PIN number, you may reset your PIN number "24/7" to gain access to NorthstarMLS/Matrix. You will need to answer the three "Secret Questions" that you answered in the enrollment process and a new PIN will be emailed to you at the address that MLS has on file for you. Please be sure to keep your email address updated, in case you ever need to have a PIN number reset. Click here if you forgot your PIN #.
How do I Access the MLS if I have lost my SafeMLS token? If you lose your SafeMLS token, you can obtain a temporary password that will be valid for a ten day period. To get a temporary password, report your lost SafeMLS token online at www.northstarmls.com login screen.
A temporary password will be delivered to the email address on file with the MLS system. This temporary password is valid for seven days, so be sure to stop by the Association during normal business hours to obtain a replacement token during that time. Keep in mind there will be a $35 charge plus tax for lost tokens. Click here to report your token lost.
NOTE: If you find your token after you have registered it as lost, you may not begin using it again, as this token has been deactivated.
What do I do if my SafeMLS token is broken (does not display numbers, get "ERASED" message, etc.)? If you press the button on your SafeMLS token and you receive the message "ERASED", or it does not display numbers, you have a defective SafeMLS token. You must report the token as defective or lost at www.northstarmls.com login screen.
A temporary password will be delivered to the email address on file with the MLS system. This temporary password will be valid for a seven day period. To get a new token, stop by the Association during normal business hours to drop off the defective one and obtain a replacement token. There is no cost to replace defective tokens. Click here to report your token defective.
Can I get a second SafeMLS token to have on hand in case I lose it? No. A member may only have one SafeMLS token in their possession. You may not have a spare token in case you lose or break one. But keep in mind that with the temporary password option, you will not need to have a spare token on hand.
